Solar Pool Cover – Works great
What a great product. I was skeptical at first, thinking what good could a cover do? However our pool was usually at 68 degrees which was way too cold for us, now with the cover it’s anywhere from 72-76 degrees, makes going in the pool so much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this product

Quality is good but the site said that the blanket came in 5 widths of 4 feet each. Because I need a width16 feet, it would be easy to cut one strip. But it doesn’t come that way. So the cut is made in the bubble section instead of the « seam ». More trouble to install.

Arrived exactly as expected and so far has given us an extra 2-3 weeks of using our pool. We live on Vancouver Island so our summers are not typically hot and the nights get to a cool 10-15 degrees. It keeps the heat in at night and does a nice job of heating the water a degree or two during the day if the pool is in the direct sun for several hours. Kept the temperature around 23-28 degrees and Our pool is smaller than the solar cover – 10×20 above ground so this cover is huge but I can put it on by myself.

Heavier than most.
This particular solar blanket is a little bit heavy and while my wife and I both in our 80s were able to take it off by ourselves. It was much heavier than what we had been used to. Plus, it does not allow pool lights through at night.But it is definitely good quality and will last us for quite sometime.

The cover is very heavy duty and appears good quality. We are pleased with it so far. Unfortunately, the snap fasteners that we used with our previous cover are not strong enough to remain closed when we roll this cover, due to the weight and thickness so we had to buy new fasteners. The heat inducted with this cover is quite amazing. It is maintaining temperature very well.The reason for not giving this review a 5 star is due to the Customer service that I received. I ordered the wrong size as we have a kidney shaped pool and forgot that i needed a size larger to account for the shape. We recognized the error as soon as we unrolled it and rolled it back and put it in the original box. We were on the hook for approx. 90.00 to return it and then were only refunded half of the cost of the cover as they stated that the it had been taken out of the box. Duh!At this point, I had already ordered the larger second cover from this company which was more money, obviously, than the original. So, now I am out half the cost of the original cover, the shipping cost to return it and the cost of the new cover. It has been an expensive transaction. Let’s hope it lasts a long time! Buyer beware!!!!

That was extremely easy to do and left very clean edges.2nd Attached it to a blanket roller and that too was easy.3rd Once on our pool, it immediately went to work heating. We do have a heater that shuts off automatically when the desired temperature is reached. Having said that we know the blanket is working because the day after installation our water still rose three degrees after the heater shut down.4th We live in Atlantic Canada so our overnight air temps drop by 7-10° but pool water does not.The only thing we don’t like is that the seam where the blanket is joined to create the width is not sealed on both edges. It leaves a flap about 1-2″ wide through the length of the blanket (picture an envelope that isn’t sealed).This one issue isn’t enough of a concern to give it any less than 5 stars!

I’ve had the cover for a month already. First impression : very sturdy, great aspect, not the thin “packing” style bubble wrap that my neighbour has. After one month I can say it’s a great product, great value, does the job I was expected to do first : insulates !. Yesterday we ended up with 83 F. Over night the temp went down to 65 F in this area. In the morning the temp was 81. Last year it would have been 74-76. I gave it only 4 stars for longevity as I do not know yet how’s going to perform during canadian winters, although after one month the aspect and feel don’t seem to have changed at all. Thank you !

As Promised, Other Than Color Consistency
Although the lesser quality of cardboard box the 18′ by 36′ cover arrived in was in rough shape the cover itself was undamaged. The fit was as advertised along with additional cover beyond the 36′ length. The dark material seems to be quality and should prove to do a good job heating and providing heat retention. Where I was a bit surprised was that the three 6′ panels which make up the 18′ width were not from the same manufacturing lot so there is noticeable color difference between the 3 strips. Royal blue, dark blue and indigo. I may have made an incorrect assumption they would all match though. Nonetheless discovering this after the fact is aesthetically disappointing.

I’ve had the cover for a month already. First impression : very sturdy, great aspect, not the thin “packing” style bubble wrap that my neighbour has. After one month I can say it’s a great product, great value, does the job I was expected to do first : insulates !. Yesterday we ended up with 83 F. Over night the temp went down to 65 F in this area. In the morning the temp was 81. Last year it would have been 74-76. I gave it only 4 stars for longevity as I do not know yet how’s going to perform during canadian winters, although after one month the aspect and feel don’t seem to have changed at all. Thank you !

Put it on this summer. First time with a pool. Heated the top layer of water for sure. Pool has too small a pump and filter so water didn’t circulate much (upgrading next year). It held up for the summer. Putting it away for the winter so will see how it looks next year and how well it last when we use it again.

Although the lesser quality of cardboard box the 18′ by 36′ cover arrived in was in rough shape the cover itself was undamaged. The fit was as advertised along with additional cover beyond the 36′ length. The dark material seems to be quality and should prove to do a good job heating and providing heat retention. Where I was a bit surprised was that the three 6′ panels which make up the 18′ width were not from the same manufacturing lot so there is noticeable color difference between the 3 strips. Royal blue, dark blue and indigo. I may have made an incorrect assumption they would all match though. Nonetheless discovering this after the fact is aesthetically disappointing.

This particular solar blanket is a little bit heavy and while my wife and I both in our 80s were able to take it off by ourselves. It was much heavier than what we had been used to. Plus, it does not allow pool lights through at night.But it is definitely good quality and will last us for quite sometime.

Very well made and heaviest.solar blanket I have purchased in 35 yrs. My pool is staying exceptionally clean even when left on for several days. No green algae in pool at all. Downfall is because of black on bottom sun can’t get through so it foesnt warm the pool if on in daytime but really keeps heat in at night. Good buy.

The cover is very heavy duty and appears good quality. We are pleased with it so far. Unfortunately, the snap fasteners that we used with our previous cover are not strong enough to remain closed when we roll this cover, due to the weight and thickness so we had to buy new fasteners. The heat inducted with this cover is quite amazing. It is maintaining temperature very well.The reason for not giving this review a 5 star is due to the Customer service that I received. I ordered the wrong size as we have a kidney shaped pool and forgot that i needed a size larger to account for the shape. We recognized the error as soon as we unrolled it and rolled it back and put it in the original box. We were on the hook for approx. 90.00 to return it and then were only refunded half of the cost of the cover as they stated that the it had been taken out of the box. Duh!At this point, I had already ordered the larger second cover from this company which was more money, obviously, than the original. So, now I am out half the cost of the original cover, the shipping cost to return it and the cost of the new cover. It has been an expensive transaction. Let’s hope it lasts a long time! Buyer beware!!!!

Quality is good but the site said that the blanket came in 5 widths of 4 feet each. Because I need a width16 feet, it would be easy to cut one strip. But it doesn’t come that way. So the cut is made in the bubble section instead of the « seam ». More trouble to install.

So far we love this blanket!
Just purchased this blanket about three weeks ago but so far it’s amazing!Reasons why we love it…1st We have an emerald shaped pool so we had to cut it to fit. That was extremely easy to do and left very clean edges.2nd Attached it to a blanket roller and that too was easy.3rd Once on our pool, it immediately went to work heating. We do have a heater that shuts off automatically when the desired temperature is reached. Having said that we know the blanket is working because the day after installation our water still rose three degrees after the heater shut down.4th We live in Atlantic Canada so our overnight air temps drop by 7-10° but pool water does not.The only thing we don’t like is that the seam where the blanket is joined to create the width is not sealed on both edges. It leaves a flap about 1-2″ wide through the length of the blanket (picture an envelope that isn’t sealed).This one issue isn’t enough of a concern to give it any less than 5 stars!

Keeps the heat in overnight
Arrived exactly as expected and so far has given us an extra 2-3 weeks of using our pool. We live on Vancouver Island so our summers are not typically hot and the nights get to a cool 10-15 degrees. It keeps the heat in at night and does a nice job of heating the water a degree or two during the day if the pool is in the direct sun for several hours. Kept the temperature around 23-28 degrees and Our pool is smaller than the solar cover – 10×20 above ground so this cover is huge but I can put it on by myself.

Very well made and heaviest.solar blanket I have purchased in 35 yrs. My pool is staying exceptionally clean even when left on for several days. No green algae in pool at all. Downfall is because of black on bottom sun can’t get through so it foesnt warm the pool if on in daytime but really keeps heat in at night. Good buy.

Just purchased this blanket about three weeks ago but so far it’s amazing!Reasons why we love it…1st We have an emerald shaped pool so we had to cut it to fit. That was extremely easy to do and left very clean edges.2nd Attached it to a blanket roller and that too was easy.3rd Once on our pool, it immediately went to work heating. We do have a heater that shuts off automatically when the desired temperature is reached. Having said that we know the blanket is working because the day after installation our water still rose three degrees after the heater shut down.4th We live in Atlantic Canada so our overnight air temps drop by 7-10° but pool water does not.The only thing we don’t like is that the seam where the blanket is joined to create the width is not sealed on both edges. It leaves a flap about 1-2″ wide through the length of the blanket (picture an envelope that isn’t sealed).This one issue isn’t enough of a concern to give it any less than 5 stars!

I’ve had the cover for a month already. First impression : very sturdy, great aspect, not the thin “packing” style bubble wrap that my neighbour has. After one month I can say it’s a great product, great value, does the job I was expected to do first : insulates !. Yesterday we ended up with 83 F. Over night the temp went down to 65 F in this area. In the morning the temp was 81. Last year it would have been 74-76. I gave it only 4 stars for longevity as I do not know yet how’s going to perform during canadian winters, although after one month the aspect and feel don’t seem to have changed at all. Thank you !

Great cover but poor customer service policies!
The cover is very heavy duty and appears good quality. We are pleased with it so far. Unfortunately, the snap fasteners that we used with our previous cover are not strong enough to remain closed when we roll this cover, due to the weight and thickness so we had to buy new fasteners. The heat inducted with this cover is quite amazing. It is maintaining temperature very well.The reason for not giving this review a 5 star is due to the Customer service that I received. I ordered the wrong size as we have a kidney shaped pool and forgot that i needed a size larger to account for the shape. We recognized the error as soon as we unrolled it and rolled it back and put it in the original box. We were on the hook for approx. 90.00 to return it and then were only refunded half of the cost of the cover as they stated that the it had been taken out of the box. Duh!At this point, I had already ordered the larger second cover from this company which was more money, obviously, than the original. So, now I am out half the cost of the original cover, the shipping cost to return it and the cost of the new cover. It has been an expensive transaction. Let’s hope it lasts a long time! Buyer beware!!!!

Soo much better quality than any other pool cover I have purchased in the past. I will be looking forward to see how long this one will last as previous brands I have tried have ranged from 2 to 3 seasons at most. Early signs also point to far superior heat retention.

This particular solar blanket is a little bit heavy and while my wife and I both in our 80s were able to take it off by ourselves. It was much heavier than what we had been used to. Plus, it does not allow pool lights through at night.But it is definitely good quality and will last us for quite sometime.

Quality is good but the site said that the blanket came in 5 widths of 4 feet each. Because I need a width16 feet, it would be easy to cut one strip. But it doesn’t come that way. So the cut is made in the bubble section instead of the « seam ». More trouble to install.

Quality is good but the site said that the blanket came in 5 widths of 4 feet each. Because I need a width16 feet, it would be easy to cut one strip. But it doesn’t come that way. So the cut is made in the bubble section instead of the « seam ». More trouble to install.

What a great product. I was skeptical at first, thinking what good could a cover do? However our pool was usually at 68 degrees which was way too cold for us, now with the cover it’s anywhere from 72-76 degrees, makes going in the pool so much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this product

Put it on this summer. First time with a pool. Heated the top layer of water for sure. Pool has too small a pump and filter so water didn’t circulate much (upgrading next year). It held up for the summer. Putting it away for the winter so will see how it looks next year and how well it last when we use it again.

So far we love this blanket!
Just purchased this blanket about three weeks ago but so far it’s amazing!Reasons why we love it…1st We have an emerald shaped pool so we had to cut it to fit. That was extremely easy to do and left very clean edges.2nd Attached it to a blanket roller and that too was easy.3rd Once on our pool, it immediately went to work heating. We do have a heater that shuts off automatically when the desired temperature is reached. Having said that we know the blanket is working because the day after installation our water still rose three degrees after the heater shut down.4th We live in Atlantic Canada so our overnight air temps drop by 7-10° but pool water does not.The only thing we don’t like is that the seam where the blanket is joined to create the width is not sealed on both edges. It leaves a flap about 1-2″ wide through the length of the blanket (picture an envelope that isn’t sealed).This one issue isn’t enough of a concern to give it any less than 5 stars!

Very well made and heaviest.solar blanket I have purchased in 35 yrs. My pool is staying exceptionally clean even when left on for several days. No green algae in pool at all. Downfall is because of black on bottom sun can’t get through so it foesnt warm the pool if on in daytime but really keeps heat in at night. Good buy.

Although the lesser quality of cardboard box the 18′ by 36′ cover arrived in was in rough shape the cover itself was undamaged. The fit was as advertised along with additional cover beyond the 36′ length. The dark material seems to be quality and should prove to do a good job heating and providing heat retention. Where I was a bit surprised was that the three 6′ panels which make up the 18′ width were not from the same manufacturing lot so there is noticeable color difference between the 3 strips. Royal blue, dark blue and indigo. I may have made an incorrect assumption they would all match though. Nonetheless discovering this after the fact is aesthetically disappointing.

Breaking down already
Like the blue/black combo. Unfortunately it is already showing signs of breaking down. The bubbles are starting to deteriorate, and I keep track of my water balance regularly and it is covered when not on the pool.

Excellent product, very happy with it !
I’ve had the cover for a month already. First impression : very sturdy, great aspect, not the thin “packing” style bubble wrap that my neighbour has. After one month I can say it’s a great product, great value, does the job I was expected to do first : insulates !. Yesterday we ended up with 83 F. Over night the temp went down to 65 F in this area. In the morning the temp was 81. Last year it would have been 74-76. I gave it only 4 stars for longevity as I do not know yet how’s going to perform during canadian winters, although after one month the aspect and feel don’t seem to have changed at all. Thank you !
